Support Pedagogue for HVB Unit

Do you want to make a difference for young people facing various challenges? We are currently looking for three new colleagues for our HVB unit. You will work at our facilities Fristaden and Balsta. The position is a parental leave substitute for about a year.

At our HVB homes, we assist young people who need special support and guidance. The interventions are tailored to each individual's needs and take place both inside and outside the home to provide the youth with a functioning and meaningful everyday life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue, you are an important source of security for our youth. You create a calm and safe environment where they can develop and feel seen. You support the young people in their daily lives to ensure they have a functioning school life, an active leisure time, and good social relationships. The work involves a lot of motivational efforts.

The young people you work with have neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental health issues, and you help them achieve a predictable and comprehensible everyday life. There may be outwardly aggressive behaviors and self-harm.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree or at least a 2-year post-secondary education in support pedagogy, social pedagogy, treatment assistance, or equivalent education. You need to have at least two years of work experience with children/youth or adults with challenging behaviors. You are secure in yourself, have good self-awareness, and a strong interest in the living conditions of children and youth. You have a B driver's license and the ability to work in various home environments where there may be pets or smoking.

A valid police record extract must be presented before any employment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Social Administration is responsible for creating social security for children, youth, and adults. The goal is to work towards achieving social sustainability. Within the Social Administration, qualified and well-developed social work is conducted. The administration's work includes both authority exercise as well as treatment and supportive interventions for children, youth, adults, and families.
